Fire and Rescue Services is currently dealing with a bush fire at Ponds Extension, Basseterre. Motorists and other road users are asked to exercise extreme caution in the area of the Seventh Day Adventist Primary School. The School has closed in response to this hazard and parents and guardians should ensure that their children are safely at home at this time. The National Emergency Management Agency urges everyone to avoid the area, if possible so that the Fire personnel can take the necessary actions.
