During the February 17 edition of The Roundtable with Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew and members of the media, the prime minister addressed a range of national and regional issues of significant importance. He spoke in detail about the landmark agreement that secured full State ownership of major lands and assets in the Frigate Bay area, describing it as a milestone achievement in safeguarding national patrimony and expanding opportunities for sustainable development.
Prime Minister Drew also discussed preparations for the upcoming CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting, which will be hosted in Saint Kitts, and his recent consultations with regional counterparts ahead of next week’s pivotal discussions on issues of shared regional interest.
Providing updates on key national projects, Dr. Drew revealed that the construction of the new MRI facility is now 95 percent complete, marking a major step forward in enhancing diagnostic healthcare services. He further announced that the two-million-gallon-per-day desalination plant will be commissioned next week, significantly strengthening the nation’s water security and resilience.
