ABOUT SKNIS

The St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS) is the official communications arm of the Government of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Established to inform, educate, and engage the public, SKNIS serves as the primary source of accurate and timely information on government policies, programmes, initiatives, and national development activities.

SKNIS plays a vital role in strengthening communication between the Government and the people by ensuring that citizens, residents, the diaspora, and the international community have access to reliable and up-to-date information. Through news coverage, multimedia production, digital platforms, and public information campaigns, the Service highlights national achievements, promotes transparency, and supports informed public participation in governance.

The department produces daily news stories, press releases, feature articles, photographs, audio and video content that document the work of ministries, departments, and agencies across the Federation. These communications help showcase national progress while preserving an official record of government activity and national milestones.

Guided by its mission to provide timely and relevant information in an efficient and professional manner, SKNIS continues to evolve through modern communication technologies and digital media platforms. By embracing innovation and expanding its online presence, the Service ensures that government information remains accessible to audiences locally, regionally, and globally.

As a trusted public information resource, SKNIS remains committed to promoting national development, fostering public awareness, and supporting the Government’s vision of an informed, connected, and empowered society.
