Taipei, Republic of China (Taiwan), (26th April, 2026) (Embassy of Saint
Christopher and Nevis) — On the 20 th April, 2026, Saint Kitts and Nevis nationals
studying in Taiwan and friends from other CARICOM and African countries received
certificates of completion after a morning workshop on finance and budgeting.
The “Where Did My Money Go?” Budgeting Workshop 2026, held on Saturday April 18,
was organised by the Embassy of Saint Christopher (Saint Kitts) and Nevis to the
Republic of China (Taiwan) in partnership with KGC Inc. of Kivision Group to assist
young people with managing their finances as they study in Taiwan.
The workshop was facilitated by Global Financial Management expert, Mr Jean-Francois
Morin, who introduced the participants to the Dumpling Index Budget & Spending
(DIBS) web application—an interesting and useful software. Mr. Morin helped
participants understand their money blueprint and introduced tips for managing daily
finances and emergencies.
His Excellency Donya L. Francis, Ambassador of Saint Kitts and Nevis to Taiwan
awarded certificates of participation to the eighteen individuals who took part in the
session.
“Your presence reflects a strong commitment to personal growth and financial
responsibility, both of which are essential as you navigate life and studies here in
Taiwan,” said Ambassador Francis.
According to Ambassador Francis, the workshop aligns closely with the vision of the
Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis through initiatives such as the ASPIRE Programme,
which seeks to empower our young people through education, skills development, and
opportunity.
Ambassador Francis said, “Financial literacy is a key part of that empowerment, ensuring
that you are not only academically prepared, but also equipped to make sound financial
decisions for your future.”
The Embassy heartily thanks KGC Inc. for their continued support and partnerships.
